Description:By bike, self-supported, without assistance on a free route (and 2 mandatory parcours). Around 1000km (and 500km) for a transnational unique route, linking 6 CP’s nicely chosen. This ultra-cycling challenge is a tribute to the famous race Liège-Paris-Liège, for which Liège-Bastogne-Liège, La Doyenne was born in 1892 as a first trial but that long distance never happened. So it was time to put this project back! On the way down to Paris, you will make your own route through the hilly condroz. Across these limestone typical villages, you’ll reach Ciney then Chimay (more exactly scourmont abbey) where the monks have been brewing their famous beer since 1862. After that, you’ll keep pedaling until the cathedral Notre-Dame de Laon where you’ll take one minute to have a look before following the mandatory parcours. The parcours that you must follow carefully will lead you to the Eiffel tower and guide you out of Paris until Meaux. From that point you will plan, again, your own route until Bouillon. You will have to cross the Champagne vineyards and ride on the old automobile circuit of Reims-Gueux (which is the next CP). Once in front of the castle, you start the Battle of the Ardennes. We planned a hilly route to guide you to the Perron in Liege where a great beer and a warm welcome will reward you for your effort.
