The marathon course has been measured and certified by AIMS, the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races and is categorized as a Gold Label Road Race by World Athletics.
Rimi Riga Marathon is included among 350 world marathons, in which it is possible to qualify for the AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Championships. The competition has been created by Abbott World Marathon Majors to enable runners between the ages of 40 and 80+ to qualify for the World Championships.
Any athlete achieving the Automatic Qualifying Time for their age group will receive an immediate invitation for the AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Championships. |
