| Description: | Join us at Maryland's hardest and biggest road race! 92 miles of racing with police-moderated intersections along the entire course. An approachable medium course of 48 miles is also available at a more casual pace. Fully stocked aid stations and mechanical and SAG van support are provided. All participants receive a finisher medal and a post-race meal. The race starts at Race Street in downtown Cambridge, then enters Dorchester County with its natural beauty, waterways, marshlands, farm fields, woods, and quaint small towns. Enjoy views of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay coastline, and race past the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park.
The GFNY Maryland Long Course is a challenging 92-mile road race for competitive cyclists. Participants will ride through Dorchester County's scenic waterways, marshlands, farm fields, and woods, passing by the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park. This course features police-moderated intersections throughout, fully stocked aid stations, and mechanical support. Finishers are eligible for category rankings and overall podium awards, with the top 10% in each age group earning a qualifier corral spot at all GFNY World events. |
