| Description: | The Ottonenlauf is a scenic ultra-marathon event through the Harz Mountains, starting from three different locations (Stiege, Alexisbad, and Meisdorf) and converging at the finish line in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Quedlinburg. The course predominantly follows forest and farm roads with a rustic character, offering beautiful views and passing through various towns, castles, and rock formations.
The Half Marathon starts in Meisdorf and covers 26.1 km to the finish in Quedlinburg. The course offers a combination of forest, agricultural, and some paved roads through the nature of the Selketal valley. Along the way, there is much scenic diversity and some moderate ascents. |
