The 11.5 km route starts from the Hafentor in Emden, heading towards the harbor area, crossing two railway crossings, and running along the ferry terminal. The course crosses a drawbridge and the large sea lock. A challenging section stretches for 2.2 km behind the dike, where strong headwind or tailwind can be expected. After half the distance, the path leads past Jarßumer Hafen and through the port industrial area back to the main road towards the city center. The last 300 m lead from the town hall to the finish line at the Hafentor. Start and finish are at the Hafentor in Emden. |
