With a mostly flat and fast profile, the course is ideal both for runners aiming to complete their first marathon and for those looking to achieve a personal best over the 42.195 km distance. Along the route, participants pass several of the city’s most recognizable landmarks while enjoying an outstanding atmosphere created by enthusiastic spectators and numerous entertainment points spread throughout the course.
The race is also part of the Wanda Age Group World Rankings, allowing runners aged 40 and over to compete for positions in the global ranking within their respective age categories.
Both the start and finish lines are located on Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina, between Plaça d’Espanya and Plaça de Carles Buïgas, creating a spectacular setting where thousands of runners and spectators gather each year to celebrate a true running festival in the heart of Barcelona.
